Scott's fingers hovered over his keyboard, but no words came out. He sighed and leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling. He had been struggling with writer's block for weeks now, and it was starting to take a toll on him.

He glanced over at Bella, who was lounging on the couch, lazily grooming herself. For a moment, he envied her carefree existence, with no deadlines or expectations weighing her down.

As he watched her, he couldn't help but wonder what went through her mind. What did she think about all day? Did she have any worries or fears?

He decided to ask her, even though he knew she wouldn't be able to answer him in words.

"Bella," he said, approaching the couch. "What do you think about all day?"

Bella looked up at him with sleepy eyes, then went back to grooming herself.

"I mean, do you worry about anything? Do you have any goals or dreams?"

Bella paused in her grooming and regarded him with a curious look.

"Okay, maybe not dreams, but do you ever think about what you want in life?"

Scott chuckled at himself for asking such a ridiculous question to a cat, but he couldn't help but wonder. He watched as Bella went back to grooming herself, seemingly unconcerned with his musings.

But as he watched her, he realised that maybe that was the answer. Maybe the key to overcoming his writer's block wasn't to worry so much about what he wanted or what he thought he should write, but to simply let himself be in the moment and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like Bella did.

He smiled and patted Bella on the head, grateful for her presence in his life.

"Thanks, Bella," he said. "I think I needed that."

As he walked back to his desk, he felt a sense of clarity and purpose that he hadn't felt in weeks. Maybe he wouldn't write the next great science fiction epic, but he would write something, and that was all that mattered.
