In darts, players throw small, pointed projectiles called darts at a circular board known as a dartboard. The dartboard is divided into 20 numbered sections, each with a different point value ranging from 1 to 20. The dartboard also has a small inner circle, known as the bullseye, which is worth the highest point value.

Players take turns throwing three darts each, trying to score as many points as possible with each throw. The points scored in each round are added up, and the player with the highest total score at the end of the game wins.

There are many different variations of the game of darts, but some of the most popular include 301, 501, and cricket. In 301 and 501, players start with a specific number of points and try to reach zero by hitting a double on their final throw. In cricket, players try to score points by hitting certain numbers on the dartboard while also trying to close out all of their opponent's numbers.

Darts is a popular pub game and is also played competitively at both amateur and professional levels. Professional darts players often compete in tournaments around the world, with the most prestigious being the PDC World Darts Championship.
